Hi! I’m Patricia Eckert and I am excited to continue being a part of the Wims community for the start of my 10th year teaching!

 

I am a graduate of University of Maryland, College Park where I received my Bachelor’s in Science for Elementary Education graduating from the Honors College in 2013. I am also certified in ESOL and received my Master’s degree in Integrating Technology into the Classroom in 2017. I previously taught at Pine Crest Elementary School in Silver Spring. I’ve taught 5th, 4th, and 3rd grade during my career. I love teaching and getting to know my students and their families.

     

Outside of school I am usually spending time with family, or friends. We were excited to welcome our son William to our family last year.  He is almost one now.  We enjoy cooking, hiking, traveling, playing sports, and attending sporting events and concerts. My husband, Matt, and I love to be outside and be active. He also attended the University of Maryland and we are both huge Terps fans!

I grew up in Montgomery County. I was a competitive cheerleader for 11 years and can still do a backflip! I love reading and one of my favorite ways to relax is to curl up with a good book. I am always searching for new books to read. I can’t wait for a great year!
